The factory Bronco license plate holder is installed by drilling a pair of holes in the body-colored trim below the grill. Some dealerships in states requiring front plates will install your plate holder prior to delivering the vehicle. Like most auto manufacturers, Ford seems to have made license plate location an afterthought, not that regulations allow for much creativity. Unfortunately, the result is a license plate that's mounting squarely in the middle of the new Bronco grill, killing the signature look. BuiltRight has the solution. Available for both the OEM standard plastic bumper and the OEM modular steel bumper, the Bronco License Plate Relocation Kit offers users a number of mounting locations which move the license plate out of the grill area and into a less obtrusive location. Please note that this was designed and tested using a modular bumper without parking and cross traffic detection sensors. Your choice of location when installing may limit the functionality of the parking sensors, so please use care. We've worked hard to accomodate as much as possible but please be sure to check our product photos for possible mounting locations to determine whether or not the mount will block any other accessories that you intend to use.
Installation of the BuiltRight Industries License Plate Relocation Kit on the 2021+ Ford Bronco requires just a few simple tools and 5-10min. On the OEM standard plastic bumper, the bumper mounting bracket is secured to the bumper using a single bolt near the front tow hook location. The plate mounting bracket is then attached to the bumper mounting bracket through one of its many slotted features. This allows for additional adjustability inexact plate location, which will help accomodate potential future accessories. The bracket can be installed such that use of the tow hook loop is not impacted.
